Hope is what keeps us going when the news is bad and the waiting is long. But hope can wear thin. After months of unanswered prayers, ongoing illness or one disappointment after another, it can feel almost impossible to believe that things will get better.
Every prayer for hope on this page is for those moments: when you are discouraged, grieving, waiting or simply tired. God is called “the God of hope”, and He can fill your heart again.
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” — Romans 15:13 (KJV)
A Short Prayer for Hope
God of hope, fill my heart again. When I cannot see a way forward, help me to trust that You are still working. Amen.
